We will fight to protect the triple lock on pensions and work to improve the care for the elderly in Castle Point. The elderly should not have to worry about money or about care.

We will fight against the Tory unfairness on the women’s pension age and seek  compensation for those affected.

We will ensure the Winter Fuel Allowance is protected and bus passes for pensioners are not only continued, but the eligibility age is lowered to 60 in line with Scotland & Wales.

Our elderly neighbours have suffered significantly during the pandemic. We will look at care home provision – its quality and availability in Castle Point.
