New Ward Boundaries
New Ward Boundaries
The Electoral Commission periodically review ward boundaries for all councils to make sure all residents are fairly represented. This has resulted in new ward boundaries with some ward names being changed to better reflect the area.
The new wards can be found on the Castle Point Council website, link below.
Your ward will be confirmed on your Polling Card which are already arriving.

New Polling Stations
New Polling Stations
If you are voting in person, you will need to visit a Polling Station on the day of the election. All Polling Stations are open between 7am & 10pm. A recent review was held into the number of these across the borough with some areas having more allocated.
Check your Polling Card for your Polling Station as this may have changed from previous years.

New Election Cycle
New Election Cycle
Castle Point Councillors recently voted to change the election of Castle Point Borough Council to ‘all out’ elections every 4 years.
Each ward will elect all 3 of their councillors in one go and they will remain in place until 2028 when the council will again hold ‘all out’ elections.
Your Ballot Paper
Some things to know:
- All candidates that are standing will be on one ballot paper.
- You can vote for up to 3 candidates.
- Voting for just 1 or 2 candidates is allowed.
- Voting for 4 or more candidates will cause the ballot paper to be invalid and will not be counted.
- You can choose to vote for all 3 candidates from the same party or any combination of 3 candidates on the ballot paper.
- The candidates who come first, second and third will be elected to the council for a 4 year term.
