The last local plan was created by Labour in 1998 and was successful in protecting Castle Point’s Green Belt during the legal battles of 2012 to 2015. The decision to not allow development on areas such as Glebelands and Jotmans Farm was based on the protected status of our Green Belt as set out in the Labour Local Plan.
