Canvey Island Central Ward
Terry Miller MBE: Candidate for Canvey Island Central
Hi, my name is Terry Miller, I am 58 years old and live in Castle Point. I am standing in Canvey Island Central Ward as your Local Labour candidate.
I am a local person who grew up in the area attending both Kent’s Hill and Appleton schools.
I work for a charity and spend my weeks fighting for people’s rights and empowerment. I have a knowledge of disabilities and have seen first-hand the unfairness in our local community.
I am passionate about equality and fairness and respecting our community I will fight for your rights and ensure your voice is heard.
The local Tory councillors in the past have not listened to you and taken your vote for granted. We have all seen the cutting of services, selling off land and flats being built without any local consultation. I will fight against building on the Greenbelt.
I will fight for your rights, highlight the unfairness and the needs of our community. We need better schools. We need better social housing. We need better services.
We want to feel safe at night when we are out, we want to enjoy the local area parks and see families playing.
I will fight for more local involvement in discussions that matter to you.
