St. George’s Ward
Ros Dunhill: Candidate for St. George’s Ward
It would be a privilege to represent the residents of St George’s Ward as your Local Labour Councillor. I am a retired head teacher and taught in local schools for many years. I have worked alongside St George’s Ward families and care deeply that we should have a safe and secure environment where children can thrive and our elderly are cared for.
My approach has always been to listen and to represent the needs of the people I work for. I already know that many of you do not want to see the current local plan destroy our neighbourhood, Local labour has opposed this in the past and we will oppose it again. We do not want to see developers line their pockets at the expense of our Green Belt. I want to see our streets safe and streetlights kept on all night. Footpaths are badly in need of repairing. I want to see great opportunities for our children and young people. Particularly after COVID they need places to play, youth clubs and support for their mental health and well-being. I want to see first class provision for our elderly and vulnerable.
Due to COVID I cannot meet you out and about or hold a public meeting but I will be pleased to receive your emails telling me what we need in St George’s Ward. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
Your needs are my priority.
