Introducing Katie Curtis
Labour's Candidate for Castle Point 2019
We’re excited to announce that Katie Curtis is going to be the Labour candidate for Castle Point in upcoming the general election. Katie was brought up in Canvey Island and made for Castle Point. She moved to Canvey (where her mum was born and still lives) when she was 3 years old, first living near the Silver Jubilee then down at the Point. She went to Furtherwick Park and then to SEEVIC in Thundersley. She’s proud to say that she was made in Castle Point. She currently works doing campaigns and events for a political group and has also completed vital work in the trade union movement and the charity sector.
Katie’s looking forward to meeting as many people as possible over the next few weeks and to becoming the first local MP for our constituency. People in Castle Point have been let down by the Conservatives and she will fight for passionately for our area and to improve the lives of residents and families.
